Disposable Numbers?

    Do you guys know of any sites or maybe apps that give you a disposable number to use for account verification? I've tried lots of apps from the App Store but for some reason I can't verify my account with those numbers? I've seen a post here before but now I can't find it ;[

    Google "Top 10 Sites to Receive SMS Online without a Phone" (sorry I can't post links yet). That page has decent list of disposable number options. You'll probably have more luck with services that provide you your own private number (google voice, pinger, twilio, textnow, heywire) rather than the shared public numbers sites like ReceiveFreeSMS since those have all been used before.

    It depends on the account though. Vkontakte has so far refused to let me verify with any disposable numbers. Facebook, however, has always accepted Google Voice numbers in my experience.

    I usually just grab a bunch of T-Mobile prepaid sims when they're on sale... Currently they're a penny (free shipping) with a limit of three per order. Pop it in a phone when you get it, put a few bucks on the balance, use them, toss the sim.

    Edit: you can place multiple orders if you want more than three sim cards. Last sale I bought like a hundred.

    If you want disposable numbers I can give you 10 (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9).
    But on a serious note, most of the free services don't work, and if one did, don't expect someone giving it away, because it wouldn't work five minutes later.
