Not sure if you guys are doing something similiar to this, but I thought to share a ppc strategy I used back in the day which made some decent money. Maybe put your own tweaks/twists in it to take it even higher. If I was too general in the video, feel free to ask questions in this thread. Thanks guys.

This thread seems to have passed unnoticed so I'm bumping it for others to see.
Anyway, thanks for sharing, awesome out of the box method as always.

One question, so basically this is uploading non relevant keywords to your niche? Its just to get viewed on the search engine. This is probably only good for email submits because trying to make a sale based upon a certain niche would be hard this way because these keywords are not relevant. Am I right?

Correct in the fact of uploading non-targeted keywords. Incorrect of only having it convert with only zip submits. I ran mostly car insurance ads doing it this way, which were full lead form offers, so it doesn't have to be simple like a zip submit. The concept isn't any different than running on other display networks which run your ad on all their partner sites, etc... Your partner sites are the keywords if you will...the more you load into the campaign the more exposure your ad will receive. However, you'll be paying .10 cents a click (or less) for your display ad as opposed to most display networks which usually charge a min. of .50 to .75 cents.

A trick I did back in the day for zip submits was to create my ad where it would input the keyword of whatever someone searched for into the body of the ad...dynamic placing. Then I crafted the ad in a manner of saying something like (Title) "You Won Bing's Search Contest" (Body) "Your search for xxxxxx was selected as our latest monthly winner. Click here now." So there are ways to get the surfers attention even though the ads may not be targeted at all to them.

So youre saying people click on stuff that's not relevant to their search? Interesting. I will have to give this a shot. I am just a little nervous to spend the money and get no conversions. What would you say the average payout I should be running? A $1.00 email submit or something higher? I am just trying to figure out if this would really be cost efficient

There's no way to tell what kind of metrics you'll get...that's for you to spend some time and money on testing. When I was running it, I made a killing off of car insurance. But today the value of those leads has dropped a lot. Zips were the next most profitable thing in line for me but there's probably is a ton of other offers which would work too...you just need to test.

Yes very true testing is the only way. Also, you mentioned in the video of uploading 100,000 keywords. Was this actually done by hand?? Or is there some way to compile a huge list of keywords?

I usually went to wiki and other sources online to get my lists. I suppose you could automate it in some fashion. I can put my lists up but there is probably better sources to get complete lists out there.

Ok cool thank you! Sorry it seems like I want to be spoon fed. I am just fascinated with your discoveries!

The one thing I am confused about this method is that some keywords are VERY expensive to bid on. And I think with a list that big wouldn't there be some high bid keywords?? Or do you bid lower anyways on those keywords?

Bid low across the board for everything. Keep your keyword targeting set to broad. Some keywords will get traffic while others won't.

So what exactly are you automating? Importing the keywords to bing?

    Great share btw :)

I was semi-automating the import part. Shoemoney actually did this method before me but I found out about it on my own. Here's his blog post on how he did it which may give out some more advice (posted well after I did it): http://www.shoemoney.com/2011/11/21/what-i-do-now-in-affiliate-marketing

Too bad he didn't post about it before I started cause I would have used his approach with downloading CNET's entire database instead of the way I gathered the keywords.
