    Hey all,

After a negative SEO attack killed my money site at the beginning of 2016 I've been very proactive in disavowing.

I think I've been too proactive, because the pages I've been the most passionate about protecting from neg SEO are killing my rankings.

Is there a tool to see which links I should be disavowing, and, perhaps more importantly, can removing links from my disavow file help my pages recover?

Going through similar myself. Just checking them manually is what I have been doing. Then Disavowing the domains as a whole which have many links pointing to my site. Then, when I have more time, going after all the single links. It's been really annoying.

However, I think you can use openlinkprofiler to see what links have the best "Link Influence" and take it from there. Of course, still check them all out thoroughly before removing from Disavow. It's been a good few weeks at least for me now, and still no sign of any ranking increase.. :(

Disavowing all links for a site worked for me once years ago.

These days I see people recommend against it all the time. Google ignores most trash links, so you should be fine without messing with disavow too much.

Yeah, I've seen people on here say that Disavow doesn't work too well, and I'm starting to believe them. No effect so far for me, which makes me think about trying other things. Like removing every affiliate link from the site to see if that does the trick. So many posts to go through though..
