Looks like some sort of penalty. Could be due to spammy anchor text.
Do you rotate your anchor text when building links?

but if it was a penalty, it should be for the whole site, i am still ranking well for many less competitive keywords...i still have about 500 visitors, 300 less daily. I ll have to wait and see.

What i did, is mass registration to forums with XRUMER, i have MANUALLY inserted a presentation of my self in each of them and replied to topics containing the keywords i want to rank for, a week later, adding the anchor that points to internal relevent page.I started to rise, stayed on the second position for about 3 weeks, and right now i am totally gone for this keyword.

Yes, i do agree to Jheyslow. Google love's to eat new unique contents to have good SERP, get all there rss urls and submit it to top rss sites or you may use rssmix.com to combine all your rss feeds and using the combined rss feed can less effort for rss submissions, ping, and submit the rss combined to iden.ca to indexed contents.

    Hope this will help.

    Cheers!

As it was said before, you are COMPLETELY wrong here.

Even now in 2011, Google will more and more give penalties to only URLs, not the whole site.

This is "I guess" because you have used your main-anchor TO OFTEN. You need to vary it even more, and also use sometimes your URL as anchor.

It will give your whole site trust, and not only the keyword you are targeting.

Also what Gugl is doing now is, that it will give you sometimes penalties like -30 or -50, and you think it's just dance, or some may think sandbox, when it is actually a penalty.

I have done everything to stay under the radar, only the registration was done in bulk. The only footprint that could have been detected it the username that has to be unique, in order to mass edit and change the signature with xrumer...

When i added links with my method, anchors were all pointing to sub pages. What disapeared from google rankings is my homepage, but not subpages, the subppages i have promoted were not in the index and now they are getting ranked, even if it is iin the 60 th + position. Here is a brief history of my ranking, screenshot attached, taken from market samurai rank tracker on the main keyword

You don't know this and stop posting stuff like this. People like you are the reason so many people come here and post hundreds of useless threads about being sandboxed when they are not.

What you are referring to rarely happens.

To OP: If you're building backlinks or have been you're likely just dancing. This is normal. If you can't find your page in the top 500 results for an extended period of time than I would start to worry. Being gone for a day or two is often quite normal.

My site is 2 yrs + old, was "sleeping" untill last year, when i decided to turn it into a classifieds site. I always had a PR 0, until now. I ranked for this keyword that has approx 4 120 000 results (dunno if this is a good reference to look at...). I will wait and see. I had continued building links, did not want to ping or use rss links to submit all these pages that point to me....just want to keep on adding links and let them naturally index, even it takes a hell of time sometimes....
