Anyone have much success with this? I know it's against their TOS to send pay per click traffic directly to their site, but I just got off the phone with their support and I've been informed that we can direct link with media buys.

I don't think adsense or FB adds allow this type of campaign. They already be having thr campaign running with adwords and adwords won't allow a domains targeted by 2 different adwords account.

Media buys allow direct linking, hence this section. ;)

I'm just worried about the commission rate, would have to target a big ticket audience. It worked in wasted's thread because it was the holiday season and people were already in a buying mood.

I confirmed this with Amazon. They don't allow direct linking. It has to be through a landing page. Anyone tried this yet?

That's the problem with these gray area affiliate rules: one employee will tell you something different from another. I sat on the phone for 20 minutes while they confirmed that I could indeed direct link from any banner so long as I had legally purchased the advertising space.

Of course, I live in Missouri and now I can't even sell Amazon products so I'm not going to bother calling them again or messing with it.

Reconfirmed with Amazon today. Direct linking is not allowed in any form.

I was reading the article by wasted, but this thread is more recent, so thought Id ask you guys. Does anyone know if he was buying a CPC basis or placed ad spots for a fixed monthly cost? Or CPM? He said he used Sitescout, but not sure what he did, like CPC or what?
