Some vendors allow us to build our own landing page... and to connect it directly with their own ClickBank check out page with a special hoplink in this format:

Code:
http://1.affiliate_vendor.pay.clickbank.net

My question is: Does this special hoplink download a tracking cookie with the same duration of a normal hoplink (60 days)? ... Or does the customer have to purchase right after clicking it for the affiliate to receive his commission?

It still gets tracked. In fact, some affiliates make customized landing pages with the direct link to the checkout page.

However, you may want to read the vendor's affiliate page and see if they allow it. I know some vendors disallow this and they may just blacklist you from promoting their products in future. This is especially true when they are doing 'force opt-ins' before redirecting customers/leads to Clickbank's checkout page.

same duration?

Ok. ClickBank support staff gave the answer, just in case it may be useful for other BHWers:

Hi Giovanni,

I'll be glad to help you. Direct payment links will allow you to get credit if the customer purchases at that moment. However, they don't embed a cookie on the browser to last 60 days.

Please let me know if I may be of additional assistance.

i know this is an old thread but i can confirm that this link does work:
Code:
http://1.affiliate_vendor.pay.clickbank.net

it looks like cookie isn't tracked but i personally don't think that's a big deal. i'm use to shopify dropshipping, where customers impulse buy stuff. so if they don't buy right then and there then the sale usually isn't likely. i'm also doing e-mail marketing and linking to my sales page that has the direct checkout link on it

so no 60 day cookie but still opportunities to make sales. i'm starting to run ads to this set up and i think it should do much better
