I've been trying to get my house in order before going 100% Blackhat, reading up about privacy/anonymity, banking, and offshore businesses. I stumbled across this gem, which I thought was worth sharing:
    .
    from ptshamrock.com/dippp.html

LOL....Yet another scam for the gullible. I love how they say they are from "Well known United Nations African nation..." and how to get it, you have to send the following...

    • a scanned copy of the clients current passport,
    • scanned head picture (standard passport photo,) and
    • current country of residence.
    • Also required is a police certificate of good standing from your country of residence (scanned) and
    • your CV.. plus a letter motivating how you can best represent and serve the nation, abroad.
    • Your proof of funds (POF) is also mandatory.
Seriously, I would love to know how many people actually fall for this!!!!

LOL, It's like the Nigerian 419 scam meets Ocean 11. I bet that if anyone with 100,000 Euros contacted them, there'd be at least a dozen people involved in swindling them. A few greased palms could net a rushed, official looking meeting with "the ambassador" somewhere. And I'm sure a forged passport could be outsourced. OMG I'd kill to see this done on hidden camera... actually, the follow-up, ongoing blackmail might net more than 100k.

PTShamrock have been in business for a long time, I first heard of them over 7 years ago, I seriously doubt they're scammers. And if EUR100,000 is too much then check out WG Hill's "How to become an honorary consul", might bit a bit outdated now but an interesting read nonetheless.

Good to know, I'll have to revisit the site and see what they can offer someone who doesn't have 100,000 euros to burn. I saw it and my knee-jerk reaction was to LOL without doing any research.

BTW, ptshamrock.com? It's fricking no joke. It offers everything I've been looking for (more or less) on one site.
Here's one (pricey) example that I know some foreigners will be interested in:
    ptshamrock.com/paypal_acc.html
    1,999 Euros gets you...

    A Virtual US bank account
A verified ready to use PayPal account
PLUS... A debit/credit card to withdraw funds anywhere in the world
This set up is ideal for those living in a country where PayPal makes life difficult for you. Everything is included in this special package so you can send, receive bank wires to and from your own PayPal account without hassles, utility bills, bankers references, etc.

No, I don't own the site and I won't profit from this thread (which started out as a joke). Whoever does own that site (and sites like it) is doing many people a great service. I basically need to disappear financially, go "off-grid" for awhile, in order to avoid legal claims to my income, or I won't have enough if it left to be able to recover from my (idiotic) past mistakes. I won't go into details, just use your imagination and the keywords "Vindictive Ex-Wife and P.I.'s, Shady Ex-Employer, ba ck ta xes, and the "Eye Are Ess") but what I'm taking away from all of this (and telling everyone I fricking know) is to be aggressive in protecting yourself, use all the tools that the wealthy use, and always have a "Plan B".

I want to reiterate that I'm not saying to be a criminal, I'm just saying cover your ass and watch your back because when it comes down to it, nobody else can or will. Sure, criminals can profit from this information, but they're more than likely already doing it if they're smart. The wealthy also do it. It's the ordinary, average, law-abiding person who is ignorant of how to protect themselves. No matter what you do in life, I now believe that you should emulate the rich who use the law and financial system to make their money untouchable. For example OJ Simpson is "broke", has "no personal assets or credit" but he gets $25k a month from a trust. Personal Asset protection is all about privacy and using the legal system creatively but not fraudulently. As I see it, that is what it means to be Blackhat. So when I say I'm going 100% Blackhat I mean I'm not only talking about SEO, I mean I'm running traditional offline businesses anonymously, automating/ delegating them, and getting creative in all other aspects of my life, too. Think 4-hour Work Week meets Jason Bourne.

IMHO, in addition to taking privacy/security precautions online, you should quickly build up to having:
    - A generic, legal entity separate from yourself. An anonymous domestic company and/or trust with its/their own accounts, debit and credit cards, that does not have your name or social security number (if you're amerikan) linked to it anywhere.
    - Always use a pen-name or pseudonym online. Use completely different ones, not variants. Nobody blackhat or online needs to know your real name, you don't know who you're dealing with or how desperate/unreliable they may eventually become.
    - Use couriers and mail forwarding, encrypt everything, use virtual offices and VOIP.
    - Build up your business credit lines so that you have options in the future. Think long term. I will search my email in a minute and post the business-credit building program I'm using. It is amazingly effective.
    - Duplicate this offshore, at least once, in different jurisdictions.
    - Don't keep money in your paypal account or connect it to your personal bank account. Everything that is paypal-connected should be disposable.
    - Pay attention to details. Never transfer money from a business account to a personal account - always withdraw cash and redeposit a different amount in a different location at a different time. The times, locations, and amounts should never match or balance (basically, have the banks in different locations, keep some of it in cash, and sometimes deposit more in one account than you withdraw from the other).

    edit:
sovereignman.com will help to open your mind.
panamalaw.org will show you many of the possibilities, just be aware that there are other providers and countries you should consider.
Hint: I'm not leaving a footprint by posting those URLs. I use other providers.
b2bcredit.com/bci_basic.aspx is awesome. They are where I got my business credit building information, but their site is mostly down at the moment. I don't know what's up with that. But the idea is that you can gradually build up the Dun and Bradstreet credit rating of your company by using a EIN instead of a social security number and also by using vendor credit lines and very small purchases so that you can eventually use the company to make large purchases or take out loans for things like equipment, inventory, real estate, and advertising. That's kind of a big deal.
