One of my sites has excellent backlinks but it's not ranking. I think the reason is anchor text ratio.

If I comment on some blogs and put my website in the website field and some random names in the name field, the anchor text will be the name that I used, and it will be nofollow.

For example, if I pick Christopher as the name, the anchor text will be Christopher
I am thinking about getting like 20-30 blog comments like this and just pick random first name and last name. For example one name will be Chris Andrews. another name will be Steven Andrews. All will be nofollow. Will this help in diluting the anchor text ratio?

Yes it will,
you could also look into setting up web 2.0 accounts or forum profiles.

I know a guy who sells them 35 profiles for 15$

Anchor text from no-follow links is not counted as far as I know. You need to dilute with branded and naked URL do-follow links as far as I know

That's a terrible idea. Get some Press release or cheap web 2.0s or anything really, but these "anchor-less" blog comments are terrible. Dilluting anchor text by anchor text which doesn't make sense and can only come from blog comments? Oh no no.

What is the stick rate of blog comments?

You will be losing links over time no matter what.

Dilution by its very definition implies adding more to the mix. But more of what?

I would say the stick rate of blog comments is far better than press releases. And far cheaper too!
