OP provided 5 domains for review, all of which had some very nice links from sites such as wikipedia, stack overflow and digital journal.

Most all but 1 of the links were placed in the main content (stack overflow the exception), unlike a lot of similar services it doesn't look like OP is picking up broken links from spammy blog comments and selling them as domains with a high authority link, the ones I saw were the real deal.

Yes, contextual links from authority domains is where the true value lies. We don't count the blog comments and other spammy types as authoritative links.
