Here's my current situation: I have a product launch website where I promote new software and get the commission as people buy them. I have SEO some easy stuff before and the result is not bad, average kw will be on page 2-3 while easy kw can be ranked to page 1 (my personal best is top 4)

The problem is, when I choose a hot product to SEO, the kw is more difficult too. When I first post my article, it was on page 8, then I get it to page 6 for one day. After that it slowly went down no matter how hard I try, now it's out of top 100 already.

I usually create backlink manually. Most of tier 1 are website 2.0, blog; tier 2 is social network, document share; tier 3 is forum signature. I checked the content to make sure all of them are unique and I didn't spam backlink or keyword.

I understand the fact that high difficult kw is hard to SEO, but my article was start at a good rank and slowly move downward, it's strange. Please help me.

Normally I use 1 anchors to link from old review to a new one. When I have some review with the same publisher, I will group all of his product's articles using silo linking. I have categories, tags, related post widget and menu too.
Base on which program I use to research, it could be from 20-39, so it is still easy - normal compare to other niches

First try to focus on onpage if you haven't already. Aside from that, your title says "the more backlink I have the lower my sites rank" which just makes me want to warn you that the quality of these backlinks play a huge role. With a hard KW I suppose you should make sure the onpage is perfect and build high quality links, social shares, and give it time as well.

Most of my links are from my website 2.0. I know some of my competitors using spam methods like spam forum and blog comments Directly to their site. Some of them create many websites 2.0 and spam their link on its sidebar, which means each page will have 30-40 outbound links just from the sidebar only. And they're still on page 1, live a healthy life for years.
I'll check my onpage again and see if I overlooked something. Thanks for your help.

Web 2.0's aren't going to get you there. Invest in some PBN links or build your own PBN.

I'm going to have my own PBN too, thanks for suggesting. But right now my site is over top 100, I don't think there are 100 sites with PBN support joining together in this kw @@. Not to mention most of them are single site with just 1 article (these guy mostly will spam forums for backlink, their links should be very weak thought)

Update: I have a minor problem with meta description and meta title: I write my own title and description, but Google still show the article-name-website-name title and a short excerpt of my article rather than the description I wrote. Don't think this will affect much but still, it will dramatically reduce traffic to my site.
Do you know how to fix this problem?

Unlike what everybody else said, this a great news. When a keyword disappears, it means it got a backlinks boost and it will come back better.

Normally u need 3 - 4 weeks for any keyword to settle after building backlinks, and 60 - 80 for any keyword to start ranking in page one. If it's easy competition, time will be less.. but the harder the competition, the more time google needs to give you a boost. So, forget about it and start targeting other keywords, build more content, do other stuff.. And stop checking ranking everyday.. Make it every 2 weeks or something instead of wasting your time.

    Thanks for your information.
My situation is a bit different: when a vendor informs their stuff, they will give me affiliate link. Sometime it only works when there's only 1 week before the launch, so normally I have only 1 week or so to rank the kw. Should I write the review, SEO it then add the affiliate link later?
Also, most of the articles in my site are reviews, with promoting information and affiliate link. Should I add more content, like SEO tips, tricks, girl's imgage, etc to drive more traffic and SEO optimization?

First, You won't even index the backlink within 1 week, let alone rank a keyword !

Second, reviews are okay as long as they have a lot of text, and on-page optimization is good.

Third, keyword research drives traffics, not articles. And if you can't make money of any article on ur website, then it's a waste of ur time.

I submit my backlinks directly to Google via Google Submit Tool. Then I use Incognito Chrome browser, Google.com/ncr to search for the article contain my backlinks and yes, I find it was cached so I guess it was indexed.

Hi sorry for butting in to your thread. i have a competitor that rank 1 for specific keyword "xyz". but when i right click and view source for that "xyz" that keyword is not there. how can he rank no 1 in Google even without having that KW in content. that site is a small site with around 10 article on it.

    how can he do that?

While you're using kw, it is like telling Google "hey, I'm talking about this kw. But Google is so smart that he know you are talking about Everything you have in your content, kw is just the main subject.
So if your competitor got 1 rank, it means his backlink is stronger than the rest and he got tons of "xyz" anchor.
