What are some of the tactics that you use to increase E-A-T?

Kind of weird that you ask this in the White Hat SEO Section
The only ways to increase EAT artificially are 100% Black Hat.

And the number 1, by far, is by creating backlinks.

Im not an expert on EAT otherwise I wouldn’t ask, but I have come across some information where on page factors play a role in this such as information in the footer, or schema markup. I didn’t know that backlinks was the most important (or important at all for EAT). So that is why I posted in white hat.

Thank you for sharing that.

Both footer and schema elements generally are employed with mechanisms to fool Google eitherways, by expressing some kind of Expertise you may probably don't have (or you do, who knows) and Trustworthyness through fake ratings in the schema (5 stars for a service, for example), that are, as mentioned, purely fake (black hat)

But still you could go White hat. Are you doing a website about car repair shop and you are a great mechanic? Great: put your bio in the content to show Google that you are the master mechanic, and then put a button so people can rate you and your service with 1 to 5 stars. If people go in your site and press the 5 stars frequently, you will have a purely White hat EAT site

The truth? Noone do this and 100% of the EAT empowerment of low-key sites are purely BH techniques.

One obvious way is to feature a profile of the persona you're using for your blog.

This profile should include your interests in the subject matter.

It should also mention any organizations that may give you extra credibility.

Also, adding a paragraph in your content that ties in the key claims that you make in the content with actual experience you have, or at least experience you say you have, can go a long way.

Please understand that EAT is fast becoming a big ranking philosophy for affiliate or consumer content.

Google is cracking down on reviews and we haven't seen the end of it yet.

You only need to do a basic search on this forum to notice that a lot of people are complaining that their rankings are going down.

Well, the bloodbath isn't over yet.

Google has already telegraphed that they are going to be tightening their rankings of reviews.

So you have to really put a lot of attention on EAT.

Using personal profiles, adding personal stories as well as linking to authoritative, and academic sources for some of your informative posts can go a long way in giving Google the impression that your site isn't just the typical cookie-cutter affiliate content site.

I'm no expert on EAT, however, I will paraphrase what I've read from a Google Reviewer handbook.

In regards to EAT, they are instructed to look up the author. So, if you have your name on the author bio, the instructions are to check you out at the common places. Youtube, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.

Basically, they want to address your expertise. If you write about fitness, and when they check you out on YT/FB and see you have been posting advice and videos about fitness, and if you are a fitness instructor, your page gets a High mark. If there's no author, you get a medium mark.

If bits of the article shows up on google on sites like Wikipedia or other authority, and it looks like you paraphrased, you get a Low mark.

This, from what I can understand, is the major fact about EAT.

Of course, if it's a brand/company writing stuff, they will look up the brand. But for most of us, the author's part is what's important.

Backlinks/profile links alone all over the place mean nothing unless it's related to the expertise. If you're talking about fitness, but most of your profiles are on anime forums, and you posted 5 YT videos about your cat, you will probably not qualify for EAT.
