Different Language in ONE Domain

    its my guess but google addresses your page a region. so i doubt different languages will rank properly in both regional regions.

    Why not just use a translation plugin (on Wordpress) or translate the website? Then you could have the address as mydomain.com/healthinsurance and mydomain.com/ll/carinsurance (ll representing your local languages code, where English is en and so on).

    Makes much more sense SEO-wise.

    Sure you can. There are a lot of scenarios where that is actually needed, so you are good there.

    You are better off creating the additional language sites on a subdomain i.e. french.mysite.com

    A sub-domain is considered as a separate domain as far as search engines are concerned.
