I'm completely newbie when it comes to business email services.

I'm planing to get business email for my personal business. I was using Cpanel emails (IMAP)by configuring in my mac. Never used any email hosting services before, like google apps for business/godaddy email hositng/namecheap email hosting etc.

Can anyone help me with the difference of using cpanel emails and hosted email services for business purpose.

Highly appreciated.

They're all mail servers basically. Cpanel is just a UI added on top to make it "easier" to use, without having to go to the command line.

So here is what is realised.

Cpanel provides:
Pop3 : Can Read email from one device and deletes from server.
IMAP: Can Read email from multiple devices and keeps on server.

Email Services:
MX (mail exchange) : Can be used for routing email.

Anyways, i got the point for now.

Anyways, i got the point for now, i appreciate NON HELPING NATURE of memebers.

1. This thread is only about 1 hours old.
2. This is a SEO forum, so many members like myself don't have much idea about Email servers.

I would've helped you but heck, I have no idea myself, if I would have posted saying "sorry bud, no idea myself" you'd then flamed me for a pointless post, so yeah, don't see how can you can say that the members are non-helping?

The real truth is, money. Some people need that secure email for $15 extra a month, some people need email for $1500 a month, etc etc.. You sell to your client what ever he wants to buy.

You can make 20k deals with just a gmail acct.

The real difference should be pointed out is how much emails you can send with cpanel email option (belongs to web hosting) and professional email service.
Why most people use aweber or mailchimp ? because Hosting provider limits out going emails for shared hosting account.

If you are using shared hosting with email on cPanel, there is a good chance your emails will be blocked / blacklisted - check the IP address at mxtoolbox

Hosting your own email server - lots more work but more control more storage etc

'Busness email server' - you pay for people to look after a server for you, they take care of ip blacklists (if its a decent provider etc).

Whatever you select, check the IP address, make sure SPF and DKIM records are in the DNS and start slowly on the mailing side of things.

As normally their is no difference. For example you buy hosting account that comes with cPanel.
So the email is service that add-on function on this hosting account. But if you buy only email service then there is no hosting account. But there are some of provider who selling email services with cPanel. Some of service provider limit the outgoing email to protect their server from spamming.
