As business owners it is imperative that you have a plan...and that you have some constructive criticism on it or help developing it with someone that has been there and knows what you should be doing (and not doing)! Let's discuss that here.

Remember this is OFFLINE methods and let's not bash things that didn't work for you...as you may have not implemented it correctly, or you may just not have had the right help to do it. Keep it relevant and not opinion!

    Answer with:
    1) Your product or service
    2) Your target market
    3) Ways you tried to reach them
    4) Ways that you actually reached them (and that led to them responding positively or becoming a customer - remember a customer is not a "maybe" but a signed check!)
    5) Ways that DID NOT work like you intended (did you send out 25K postcards and get 1 sale?)
    6) What are your goals this year
    7) What do you plan to try this year again, or new

Then, help others with feedback on ideas!

    Answer with:
    1) Consulting (marketing plans), Training and Cold Calling/Telemarketing
    2) For our business we target independent agents (insurance, real estate, legal) and any other company that uses lists to reach a large customer base (which is MOST companies).
    3) We are members of various groups, networking groups, FB groups, forums (like BHW) and our website. Most of our business is from advice we give out, or word of mouth.
    4) We started with FB and Website this year after 7 years of business with NO online presence...our website has helped tons...FB isn't where I want it to be, so that could be considered what didn't work (but I'm working on that)
    5) FB and CL - we don't want likes from people that aren't our niche, and we don't need tons of people trying to sell us databases, CRM's or their own services.
    6) To create more of a solid customer base and not a turn over. We get tons of people "trying us out" that never intend to stick with it...we can't do something for most of our customers in a week.
    7) We will continue with word of mouth, and we are moving toward local presence as NONE of our clients are local yet. I feel we have enough presence to be considered "serious" in our local market. I also want to up our FB traffic and reach people that would actually need us.
