Did you ever troll support service to make them laugh?

    Did you ever troll some support team?

    I just recently trolled namecheap live chat support..

    While I was speaking about my problem which doesnt exist I was constantly trying to shift the subject of talk to something totally unlreated in order to make them laugh..
    I bet these people work in some fucked up rooms where there is barely any oxigen and a good laugh goes a long way..

    Ideas to troll them:

    -Keep talking about your cat
    -If its a person you could date keep offering her/him for you to meet up and have a "Bum Bum" and after that you can both workout the problem on server/domain/hosting whatever
    -Tell the person that you are driving on a freeway and texting them
    -Tell them that you are kidnaped and the only person you could remmeber contacting is them because they are your whole world
    -Ask for some simple help and when they help you start inviting the person to come to your house for dinner, keep insisting and tell them that in your country it is a bad luck to refuse dinner, specially if it is fried rat stuffed with bats
    -Ask a support member does she/he belives in love on first chat
    -Ask the person you are chating if he/she could set you up with a special deal, but so that his boss doesnt know.. Tell them like "C'mon homie, you know we tight! Just set me up with 500Gb resseller account, no one has to know. C"Mon man, remmember when we were kids"
    -Tell them that you are getting ready to jump off the bridge because your online bussines didnt work out.. And you thought giving your support one last shot..
    -Message them "QUICK" and then dont reply for a few minutes, then afterwards reply and tell them "Its ok", wait few more minutes after they ask you if you need some more help and then send them "wait", then after they reply asking you what is the problem text them again after a minute or two "Its Ok I just had my pen** stuck in the zipper and was afraid to contact anyone else, but I got it now"

    You would be amazed how these people react usually, they either laugh or engage in conversation :D
    So did you ever troll a support service? :D

    But I only advise doing this with HUGE companies, not your host from BHW from forum because small support teams can barely manage to answer all the messages unlike huge support teams which work long boring hours of work and often have free time..

    Why on earth do you waste your time doing this. These people have to do a job like you do. By doing this you are stopping people that have real problems getting through.

    Because it makes them laugh.. I was working once that job and got trolled, best 5minutes of that job.. Trust me :D
    Its not much time, just one minute, but it is the only amuzing moment of their work

    That is sort of a jackwagon move, @Fifth, people that have the job of support services are just regular people doing thier job.

    Could you perhaps tell us how that makes sense if you were in their shoes?

    Well I did ask many of these people after I was done messing with them how did they feel and many of them told me that they didnt have the chance to experience this amount of fun on their work in ages. One person from chat support told me that he is crying from laughter along with his team matetes and he said that nothing like this ever happened to him before, but he only said that after I told him that it was all a joke. Then after he said that this was actually a lot of fun he said that he has to disconect me now because he is not allowed to have fun on his job.. WTF

    Thats why I dont think I did anything bad, trust me all of these people wish someone in their work to show up and be a little bit silly.

    I spoke with one girl but I was not rude or mean (I never am) but I was trolling her about my cat.
    She was trying to help me about domain stuff and I kept talking about my cat, in the end I began asking her questions about her pets, and she started speaking with me about it. Then I started trolling her that my cat somehow ruined my domain dns settings and I dont know what to do. The question was "Should I deny it treats today?" , I wasnt even asking her what to do with the domain anymore. She totally forgot it and told me "No no no let the kitty eat her treats, I will set your dns servers" and etc.

    I just think that many people had a lot of fun and many of them confirmed it.

    Maybe these people love their job but the fact remains that there is no trill or any room for joy when you are typing boring answers to people abput domains, hosting and etc.

    I don't think you know what trolling is.
    As a side note, I've found that many tech support people tend to lighten up and drop the whole "Good afternoon Mr. X, how may I assist you" demeanour if you're polite to them and don't treat them like slaves.

    Our corporation runs a massive support and call/chat center to facilitate our seven-figure customer base. We've dealt with asshats like you who think you're funny. You get a note on your account that says something along the lines of "fucking douche/wastes time". The general consensus is you have nothing better to do with your time and nobody else to talk to.

    Now try and backpedal.
