A buddy of mine runs a big blog on his business website where he posts 3 times a week. He has something what he calls a 'syndication network': When he posts an article on his blog the same article is automatically published on ~100 web2.0 properties like wordpress, tumblr, weebly, facebook...

That means all of these web2.0 properties are just a big collection of duplicate content, an exact copy of his blog. In my understanding that is some kind of customized RSS feed.

He states that this brings him valuable backlinks because all web2.0 properties refer back to his blog in every single article. I cannot really believe that this can bring any value because it is all dupe content and links from dupe content dont have any power, right?

    What is your opinion?
