Last month google released an algorithm update called "Penguin". It has affected a lot of site's ranking out there, most of them has loss the majority of their traffic and rankings.

The question is, did SEO still work after Penguin?

Of course, it is!

But you need to be a lot more careful in your link building process, here's what working right now:

- Brand Anchor Text:

Use your domain name in the majority of your anchor text and combine it with your keyword:

domainname.com
domain name
http://domainname.com/
domain name + keyword1
domain name + keyword2
main keyword
LSI keyword
etc

Google are into anchor text over optimization right now, so make sure to not use your main keyword
more than 20-30% of your total anchor text.

- Authority Web Properties Does Rank Very Well:

Lately, there's a lot of FaceBook fan pages, Amazon pages and other authority web properties ranks very high on the SERPs after this Penguin update.

You can piggyback these authority sites by creating content on these sites, add affiliate links or links to your site and building backlinks to it.

These sites will get ranked much more faster and slightly resistant to google penalty.

- Natural Link Velocity:

Your link must be drip feed daily, at a constant growing rate. That's why ALN does work really well, we don't blast all of your links at one time, but drip feed it daily.

- High PR Private Network Still Works Well:

Both high PR private homepage network and high PR private blog network still work really well, as long as they stay indexed for a long time.

Thanks for sharing these tips. Luckily none of my money sites were affected by this update. It's good to tweak your strategy every now and then to stay on top. I'll be putting these tips to use and see how it goes.

Thanks again.

Thank you for your advice and infos.
May I know what ALN is? :)

de-optimization of your anchor text has never been as important as now...and naked urls are very useful too
