My friend used to sell t-shirts with phrases like "I don’t forget, I just choose to ignore" and "I’m not lazy, I’m just in energy-saving mode."
I think if he were selling them now, his customers would only be his family or neighbors))

Sounds like your friend was ahead of the meme game! But hey, with the right marketing, those shirts could still find an audience nostalgia and sarcasm never go out of style!

These are all great T-shirt slogans – humorous and witty, but still appealing to the right crowd. “I didn’t forget, I just chose to ignore” seems to resonate with anyone who’s mastered the art of selective memory, while “I’m not lazy, I’m just in energy saving mode” is practically a lifestyle statement for the relax and recharge type.

Obviously, the competition was lower, ad costs were lower and general audience wasn't aware of some business models that are now mainstream

Teespring in 2014 was when I made $50k in a Facebook advert targeting certain job demographics

Yes, unfortunately things are harder and tend to be harder in the future, more and more competitors appearing

yes, in the past, we cud earn money using hitleap + google ads haha

There are some easy ways now too, just finding them is hard, too much noise nowadays.

For me personally, after taking a long break from affiliate marketing and FB and all that my biggest WOW factor was how much dumber people became.

In a sense, it makes stuff harder but also easier to sell, harder as in people won't write your texts, they prefer fancy graphics but at the same time we got AI and you can now sell the dumbest shit with a 30-second video.

People honestly became more retarded over time.

I also find some things super surprising, like buying and investing in meme coins.

You should be rugging all these clowns instead. (That's just pure logic, it's all a scam to begin with why not get your friends and team up and be on the winning side)

It took me hours or longer to write good copy to sell Nutra or casino, nowadays I open up a Telegram bot and attach my ad account ID to some stupid ass game (Like a chicken collecting coins, not even kidding), or a balloon that blows up and it turns into $180+ CPAs for Casino (Payouts).

It's a tough question but I never came online to do just one thing, for me, it was and still is the Wild West. I wasn't set out to build a unicorn company or an SEO agency all I ever did was follow the money, and still do, and from there get yourself that edge such as a higher payout or a good rev-share deal on casino.

Matching with the right people and going back and forth, brainstorming.

The world went from Prostitutes ending in jail walking the streets to selling their souls for 14 bucks. (Legally)

My take is the newer generation is making money with the most low IQ shit, and the somewhat older generation is still stuck on the old ways.

One thing is for sure, there are always people no better than anyone cashing in crazy amounts daily no matter what year it is.

It was easy before, not too saturated and people freelancing or selling online were looked as weird now everyone is triting to get a piece of the cake and unless you do something amazing or cheap people won't even notice you is sad.

Today there is much more competition. In my country, it used to be a myth to make money online...

Theres still demand for statement shirts still now but yeah the market is probably harder to penetrate to.

In the past, I could easily earn $2000 on Sharecash, which no longer exists (if anyone remembers it). It was also easier to sell information that was hard to find, but now practically any information can be easily and freely found.

The answer depends on the time period you are comparing and how you make money.

It was easier, for sure. And then came a wave of YT gurus selling easy money dreams.
