    Hi ,
i used 1 bookmarking service for my website and for 5 tier 2 websites and did wiki backlinks and comment/trackbacks backlinks to my website and i still don't see any improvement in my ranking for about 2 weeks , still in rank 7 ... do you think i have to give it more time , or should i build more backlinks ..

Give it more time, forget the back link focus. Go for more content.

Give it more time and continue building quality links manually. Its too early to see some results in just 2 weeks. Some of the links are not indexed yet.

I understand your concern, usually if I don't see improvements within two weeks I start hyperventilating hahaha

Different times. A few months ago before Penguin, you could rank in as little as 2-3 days with thousands of backlinks. These days it takes a long time and you have to build links slowly.

The vast majority of wiki sites are nofollow so those will not help your ranking, rather you should use those to diversify anchor texts (if you use them as tier 1s at all).

Social bookmarks, blog trackbacks (from PRNA sites) and wiki sites are generally fairly low quality links that have already been discounted quite a bit, I wouldn't expect to split the atom with them.

Content is important, but never forget the backlinks.

You can't just build links and expect to jump in serps results overnight. You need to come up with your very own strategy, after analyzing the competition thoroughly. Build more, expand your strategy, keep an eye out etc!

What are you linking to? [linking to crap content is a waste of time - most sites I review for my members have crap content even when the person adamant that they have good content).
2 Weeks is no-where near enough. That is pre 2006 thinking]
What is your competition? Where do you currently rank and how strong are the sites above you. In most competitive niches most top sites have active and ongoing linking. They don't just sit there and wait for you to beat them, they are linking and adding content as well.

Then there's considerations like over-op, anchor text variation, platform variation, content/context link quality etc.

It would be hard to answer your question properly based on the limited info you've given here :)

myownhero is correct. Your heavy use of no follow links will not offer the same benefits as higher quality links. Considering you are already on the first page, focus on some stronger links to get your ranks moving upward.

someone said nofollow dont help in serps. thats BS!!!!!! a nofollow backlink from wikipedia worth way more than a do follow backlink from a PR0 blog page with 60 OBL..... so before people come here and talk bs about stuff think twice and at least EXPLAIN what the meaning of it in total.

if you check most of the big sites you will see that 80% + of their backlinks are do follow so thats why you should focus on ******** more. but that not mean that a nofollow is worthless. like i said it depends in other factors.

scritty well said everything....you need diversity in your backlink profile. go get some tools where you can scrape and submit your site to different platforms. there are literaly tons of them!!!!!!

I really hate that feeling, when you build links and do not see any results or even going down in serp.
