    Hey everyone,

I don't know much about KW research but seems like I've found some pretty nice KWs.

    First one:
    - G KW tool says it gets 8100 monthly exact searches (Same number for local and international)
    - "Keyword" returns 39800 results.
    - intitle:"Keyword" returns only 1470 results.
    - inurl:"keyword" returns only 839 results.
    - Traffic Travis says this:

    Second one:
    - Gets 12100 USA, 22000 Global searched according to G's KW tool.
    - "keyword" returns 482K results.
    - intitle:"Keyword" returns only 63300 results.
    - inurl:"keyword" returns only 60300 results.
    - Traffic Travis says this:

What do you, the experts, say?

The 2nd keyword really looks promising. Since the keyword competition is low, I think you should target the keyword.

The 1st one is a normal keyword. Many people a keyword like this, so nothing great, bit I appreciate your hard work.

    Good work

I am afraid we will need to know the keywords to make a recommendation.

Both easy to rank top 3 for as none of them target those exact keywords seo wise except the number 1 of the 2nd keyword , make sure you check trends of keywords that it's either stable or goes up.

Also check if it's easy to monetize , adsense, affiliate , cpa, etc

    people don't search for:

    "keyword"

    they search for:

    keyword

How many results are there for a keyword (no quotes... just like an average person would search)

No. 1 for second KW has all his 600+ BLs through through AA blogs. I can easily get all those links within a day or so :)

And yeah, the KW's are highly monetize-able with CPA ;)

    Cheers,

If people search for KWs without costs, why is it so that we estimate our expected traffic from "Exact" searches? :)

estimated traffic and number of results are two different things.

For Estimating Traffic: (if our keyword is BLUE CAR)
keyword = how many people search for this keyword, it can also be part of a string, ex: blue car sale , or if they search for : sale car blue : it would count in this estimate.

"keyword"= how many people search for this keyword in this exact order, so how many people search for "blue car" in that exact order, a result like "blue car sale today" would be counted in this count, but "car blue sale today" would not.

[keyword]= how many people search for this keyword exactly as it is, they type: blue car : directly into the search engine

    That is for estimating traffic.

Now your search results are totally different story. I'd guess 90-95% of users do not use quotes when searching. If they do, they get a more precise search. But people just don't search this way. So if you want to estimate your competition, it is how many returning URLs Google has for the keyword (by itself, without quotes, because this is how people are searching and this is how many other sites you're competing against).

Thanks for clearing up, nam. Really appreciate it ;)
Okay I got you there :)
But I think that 2 Million still is a low number and there is no "hard" competition going on there.

    Whats your take BTW?

You can dominate 2 million results with work.

For me, I prefer to stick to under 200k results. This is low hanging fruit.

One example of a site I made 3 weeks ago...

    550,000 global searches for "keyword"
keyword (without quotes) has 130,000 results in Google

CPC is crappy. But high volume searches, and very low competition.

My site now sits at #3 on Google and I'm earning $30 a day from it. Nothing to retire on, but it is around a grand a month, and I will need to spend maybe 2 hours a month adding a few articles. If there was 2 million competitors I might need a month or two to see if I can easily get into the top 3.

Now, you do this for 10 different keywords... you get the idea.

And if you find the keywords yourself and outsource the rest, you can go after everything (2M keywords and 200k keywords) and pull in $$$$$$$$$$$$
