My site was ranking 8th yesterday for a keyword with about 1.02 million results. I have held this or position #7 for about the last 3 weeks. All of the sudden today I can not even find my page in google's results UNLESS I type in my FQDN. So if I search power tools it doesnt show up but if I search powertools.net it shows. In my google webmaster tools it still says my site is indexed, and it has even pulled my favicon.ico file now. Is this just the google dance or is this bad?

It's not a dance it's the "grand ballet imperial" Google is king and we all dance when he says dance..

-And the term you should be using is sandboxed.
-Deindexed means they completely removed your website.

Solution: Add new content build backlinks. And move on to better more profitable things. It'll usually comeback stronger unless you have duplicate content which would make things much worse.

ps: And add the new content pages to all social bookmarking sites. + add hot google trends keywords into it... google loves popular keywords.. ;)

Thanks a lot for the reply. I have original content and this isn't even a 'sales' type website, more a informational type site. All my content is created by a friend and I and is related to hacking video games. I have been running a couple social bookmarking campaigns on the site and have about 120 or so bookmarks. I'm just wondering if it is possible that i'm going to come out higher in the results already, because I now have several natural backlinks being generated everyday.

It's all a dance, remember that. You will come back in no time just build manual backlinks slowly.

Ok im really starting to wonder now, get out of work this morning and again im not in the listing. Still indexed, and I can still see the site in webmaster tools. I have had some social bookmarking campaigns running on my site, so there are a lot of social bookmarks to my site out there and they are all from different users/countries/ips. All comments, bookmarks etc are from spun text that I created. I find this very odd and am wondering if google is having a hard time deciding whether or not my site is important.
