Reading on Reddit, I see some low-quality comments with links in them, even from as far back as 10 months ago, that are still there. They are created with accounts that have little karma, or even negative karma.

I have my own Reddit account, which was bought from a seller, with karma on it, whose comments are deleted. The comments don't contain links.
My only guess is that there's something wrong with the account.

It all started last week when there was a so called unofficial SPAM update from Reddit which was discussed here on BHW.

Does anyone have any ideas about what's going on with Reddit moderation?

Can be multiple reasons. If ALL comments are getting removed like this, then the account might be flagged or even shadowbanned, it can also be what you're using to comment like a flagged browser/app or flagged proxies.

Yes, but accounts like the one I mentioned above have links in every comment. How comes that they are not flagged and are allowed to continue to insert links?

If the first post/comment you post on the freshly bought account is instantly shadowbanned/removed, the account you bought was already flagged before you even started using it.

They are really keen on ending the spam on the platform and this is the month for doing so. All the IPO bullshit they doing.

Maybe was bad luck and your comment was picked by a mod I know they still going bananas with shadow bans and account bans, maybe and just maybe I believe they are just doing it if they find the same script over and over to keep clean reddit from spam that is the only thing I can thing they are removing comments and hitting accounts.

Most of the time it depends on who sees your comments. A Spammy comment might not get seen by anyone willing to report it, while a better comment with a link might attract the wrong person's attention just by pure chance.

I understand what you're saying, if we're talking about occasional deleted comments here and there. But I'm referring to the massive cleaning that's been happening on Reddit in recent weeks, where all SPAM should be absolutely deleted.
And yes, I get that there's an algorithm behind the cleaning, and it's not perfect, but darn it, if a post from an account with low (or even negative) karma, with a link and low-quality text, isn't a trigger for the algorithm, then what is?

i studied it extensively and the results are very shocking

lets just say no one will figure it out its kind of comical what the algorithm is

dont even bother trying to figure it out you never will

If you have nothing useful to say, stop spamming every thread with discouraging comments already. No one wants to hear your bs.

Let me make it easy for you, some of these comments might contain affiliate links which the mods benefit from so they use an alt account like this one and approve the comment
