Tested it on a burner website. It works for traffic, but even with the settings mentioned in the OP, the traffic comes in with keywords like:
"EgQSt0EWGKOr7v0FIhkA8aeDSzGDQIB0HGnUzcyLPXzj10w8ABXaMgFy"
So I wouldn't expect it to help for rankings

Have you filled the "referrer" tab with a google link where you write the keywords you are looking for, so that traffic does not come in with these keywords:"EgQSt0EWGKOr7v0FIhkA8aeDSzGDQIB0HGnUzcyLPXzj10w8ABXaMgFy"
Btw, this tool no longer works on version 6.30 (Kabillo) which I gave an example of in the writing above which was copied and pasted by Festinger and version 6.42 (Markvoid). I am currently using the latest version, before the developer stopped continuing to develop this tool.
The latest version is a bit difficult to conquer, we can share experiences if you are interested.
