    Hi

I'm planning on paying someone to develope an expensive piece of software (min $5,000+). The software itself is composed of many different elements. Its also one of my highly guarded secrets. Now I was adviced here on BHW not to disclose all of those secrets to one individual, rather to split it into many small tasks. Like this none of the delivers will "get the full picture".

My question is: I'm not quite sure how to go about this since I don't see how it's possible for all the parts to be connected without at least ONE person knowing everything. Basically if I did split it up I would be left with many small pieces of software that don't work.

Has anyone Succesfully split up a job like this? Anywhere to read more about doing such a thing?

    Thanks guys

Get the developer(s) to sign an non disclosure agreement. If they steal your idea sue the ass off of them.

Ive tried NDA in the past - got duped already..
Also many members here on BHW recomend NOT to go with NDA..

Thus, I'm left with my original question..

Since you will use a couple of people for this project....I think it'll be better to use a company. A NDA will be more effective and they will be more accountable and deliver a better end product.

Yep, it's probably the only way. Good luck.
