How do you select a CB product to be worth itself to be considered as an affiliate product for your Internet marketing? My simple start formulae is:

- EPS: USD30+
- CB Popularity: Top 10-15 for given Keyword Phrase
- Rising Trends: Check at cbtrends.c0m
- Gravity: Around 80-120 (Should not be too high or too low)
- Number of Ads in Google.c0m: At least 8-10
- Thematic Uniqueness
- Recurring Billing (if available)

The CB product should meet as many mentioned criteria as listed above as possible, but be flexible.

In addition, the sales pages should look moderately good and have a (preferable) free to access affiliate section where you can grab at least some good looking product related images.

Once I found a product I look further to detailed Keyword Research. Of course you can also start with Keyword Research first and than look for a product (such as Market Samurai does), but I like to have found a suitable product first.

What do you think? How do YOU do a quick check?

guru saj says take from the top ten in any category from cb

My method to see whether a clickbank product is worthy or not is by promoting it myself on a small scale.

Then I see if it sells.

If it does sell I will work on mass promoting it.

And speaking of CB; I have a product coming out soon with a killer sales page.
If you want I can notify you when it comes out.

jonnyc, you have right that the top 10 in CB is better. But...sometimes you don't find the right product you want or like to promote. If you increase the range to the top 15, you are not leaving something out. I mean, you'll get a bigger picture upfront. It is like open a door and sneaking. You still can go back to the top 10 only, but with the top 15 you also see what may be in the wings

entrepreneur, you have also right, but in any case you need to do a pre-selection, even if you are going to test the market. And yes, you can send me a PM when your product is ready, or better, before it is. Perhaps there is something more to discuss.

admin, sorry I forgot that CB section. Yet, my selection strategy was meant to read by all, so they can decide if they want to go and use CB or not.

Yes, top 10 is nice but if they don't have a free affiliate section and graphics I can grab and throw in my landing page then it takes more of my own time. I think having good sales tools makes up for getting a cb product that's a bit farther down the totem pole
