Designing effective fliers

So I have a simple little landing page for a CPA offer set up, and I've decided to try and market this one offline due to the saturation of the niche online.

Anyone here have tips on designing effective fliers? What worked for you? So far all I have is the URL and a QR code below it. I want to keep it simple; maybe I'll throw one picture up there. And two or three lines of text explaining what you get with the offer.

I also thought about putting some weird funny thing on it (maybe a meme face or something) so that people would get a laugh out of it and be like "lol hey guys, come here, look at this flier"

Any thoughts?

I don't know if the meme face is a good idea. I wouldn't go to the URL if I saw something like that. It just seems a bit fishy to me. It depends on what you're trying to offer to the people seeing the flyer though - if it relates perfectly, then sure.

Try and make something that will stand out and catch people's attention, that when people see it on a table, they will go to check it out. Bright colors, call to action, nice graphics, and of course, related to your niche. If your niche is memes, then yeah, a meme, if not.. better find something that will captivate the readers.. like they see the flyer, and they MUST check out the rest at www.xyz .com

I thinks its depends on what you're trying to offer to the people seeing the flyer though - if it relates perfectly, then sure .
