do you think that someone with not much artistic talent when it comes to drawing etc can be a very good web designer or graphic designer. I have grown very intrigued by the art of website and other media because when you think about it, everything you see logos billboards newspapers that's what they all are. Plus, you can save a shitload for your marketing. I was thinking of taking a webdesign/graphic design masters course at http://www.sessions.edu
The only thing is that my regular artistic skills aren't that proficient, only while drawing but i can match colours pretty well. What do you guys think? thanks

Sure you can. It doesn't matter if you go to school or learn on your own. There are dozens of photoshop and illustrator tutorial sites out there. Practice, practice, and practice some more. Each tutorial you complete gives you a little knowledge about a way to create a particular effect ie:shadows, gradients, vectoring, etc. Then when you have to create something you know the basics and you can expand on it and produce some pretty good stuff. That's how i started and i can do decent work on my own.

Like anything it takes a level of commitment on your part if you want to succeed. Here are some places you can check out....

just use google to find more, and good luck to ya :)

i love graphic design and it is one of those fields of work where your portfolio speaks louder than formal qualifications. if you are self motivated you can teach yourself all you need, if youneed a kick up the arse to get you going you could back up your learning with a formal qualification.. there are loads of great books out there aswel

I've been designing for 6 or 7 years now and it's pretty rewarding. No guarantees for a career though. Going to school can be okay, but chances are the things they'll teach you are very outdated. I can tell my looking at your program list that that course is very outdated.

"Dreamweaver I", "dhtml", and "flash website design" aren't courses that anyone would need nowadays. First, dreamweaver is a major noob tool and is no longer an industry standard. Seconds, dhtml (dynamic html) is also very outdated. That course must be from the early 2000s lmao. And it's rare for sites to incorporate flash anymore for anything other than video players. Things that use to be 'cool' in flash can be done with simple Ajax or jQuery.

I really don't recommend taking that course. It probably hasn't been updated since 2001. Learn online for free. Feel free to send me a message and I'll give you my msn and we chat.
