    Anyone here using Dell Inspiron?
Is it good - any problem?
    What specs are you using?
    Thinking to buy one.
    Thanks.

i use to work for their tech support, they are good in one way the parts are easy replaced, inspirons are built so that the customer can repair them by themselves well most of the time anyway, you will notice under it most of the hardware is easily removed with a click or switch

If you can, get Dell Precision. It's a killer!

well depends on the specs, if they're good such as i3 i5 i7 core, and some good ram. then it depends on the aesthetics. the keyboard is important, if it feels comfortable to use and so on... the other main thing is the connection of the screen to the laptop, after a few years a crappy laptop will break.. see how sturdy the screen is. last thing to check would be, go on amazon and look up review, make sure it doesn;t over heat...

    hope that helps :)

I personally own 2 inspirons and they r working pretty well.

If you are looking for good video editing, you will need to get a highend processor maybe i5 or i7 with a decent videocard installed. I am not a big fan of INTEL VGAs. nVidia and ATI are great chipsets.

I have the 1526 and it has overheating problems. Can't use it unless I have a fan under it.

Yeah they're good computers for small things. Plus they're pretty cheap compared to some others.

Go with an Asus gaming laptop. Get one that is 1-2 years old, they are super cheap on Amazon and Craigslist and with Asus the tech. that is in a comp. that's only 1-2 years onld will still be top -notch.

I'm running and Asus g50-vt for only $700 two years ago. And it still smokes a lot of what I throw at it.
