I have acquired a small expertise to find PR3 or PR4 webites/domains that are now deleted, with the domain available. When I find one, I buy the domain name, and I build a new website, hiring people to write in order to populate the blog as quickly as possible. My goal is either to use these blogs as tier-1, OR/AND to build authority websites with quality content to monetize them.

But I have some questions, and I request some advices to BHW fellow members.

    - When a domain is "lost" by his owner, does it keep its age when I buy it from Google's eyes?
    - What is the best strategy to benefit from these websites?

    1) Set-up the same blog as the former one, using archive.org?
    Pros: quick and efficient
Cons: not very good when it is a personal blog (articles are not written well, the former owner may not be happy, etc.), archive.org does not contain the images of the former blog, etc.

    2) Set-up a new blog, insert some keywords of the old blog, do some Htaccess redirects so all backlinks linked to old articles point to the homepage?

Pros: we can change the topic of the blog and do whatever we want to rank the keywords that we choose
Cons: Not sure if Google like 301 redirects, may be difficult to retrieve the old page rank

What is the best choice? All comments are welcomed.
