Hey if you feel comfortable posting the webhost here that would help establish actually how good and reliable this server is? Also is it fully managed because if you don't know how to manage a linux server it could be some task from personal experience im with a company that has staff in the data center 24/7 and monitors all vital signs of my servers so if there is a probably they proactively fix it without my doing. Actually this morning my server was down for about 5-8 minutes and they rebooted everything but my server isn't cheap in the $300 range but i can sleep at night knowing they are a phone call away and email support max sla 30 minutes top in the industry
In my opinion, everything comes down to what you need your server for.
I've been running a web hosting firm locally. I did need a powerfull server with fast support. In case the server did run into some problems. I did choose Softlayer. I'm aware of them beeing very expensive, but I did get a good cut-off.
For "other projects", I've been using hivelocity. They are OK.
If you are using the server for selling services, hosted on your server, I would pay extra for fast support.
But I guess you all agree with me on this one
220$ for a server like that, with an OK provider is great though.

lol, 502 errors are due to some config settings we have done for various things, they will disappear soon enough, im not giving out specifics of what we are doing/have done though
volumedrive are GREAT to work with, im ordering another dedi from them as i type, have a read of what iv said around here and youll understand
as for 220/mo for the box above, fk me overpriced, go email info@volumedrive already
oh and volumedrive has NO affiliate system yet i still promote them, whats that tell you? talk to em, they know their shit and have a fun network
