I have a dedicated server with 2000GB/Month and only about 10GB utilized..
Anyone has any ideas on how I can cash in? nothing too illegal preferably

Thank you

host a blog farm.......DONT interlink me...spam around and make money

i'd create a nice blog farm but that costs money for domains..

unless you guys think that subdomains work just as well

somehow i dont think google ranks a lot of pages on the same ip as well as they would others

No, lots of domains / ip. Lose ranking or are not ranked as well compared to the same content across multiple ip's unless the content is really diverse. Other wise google will smell a farm.

what about a nice farm of say 50 blogs all unique niche and content, as subdomains of one domain/ip

build other sites that you host, then sell them with hosting on your server

This is probably the best advice. What you can do and I have done in the past, Is make a simple adsense site (theres scripts everwhere, just search) and get them all looking good and sell them for $0.99 on egay saying that whoever buys the site has to sign up for a 3 month package, You will get many buyers because of the sites price but better yet you will get quite a few new hosting clients.

You can even sweetin up the deal with letting them know that when they purchase the site you will change all the adsense so that it has their information on it.

A blog wouldnt be bad either, get you a blog and do the same thing, use rss or some auto poster that updates it daily and tell them that the site runs on auto pilot.

And finally you could offer free hosting but you require a link back from whoever choses the free hosting, that way you have tons of backlinks to your site with a good keyword that in time will lead to the bigger money when other people come looking for hosting.

Hope that helps a little

PRE-NOTE: Thanks to pofecker for thread clean-up. :)

If the 50 blogs/sites are really unique I'd loosely say it's "ok" . As long as you are "respectful" google and others are significantly more likely to show mercy. Search engines are well aware of shared hosting accounts and as long as you don't come off looking like a spam network (eg. linking to each other or similar link schemes. A couple internal link-link is ok but don't push it). I myself have several domains (about 20) under a shared hosting account (it's much more cost effective and works very well). Keep in mind none of my sites play tricks, are all unique subject matter, and are respectable sites.

Though .info domains are running $1-2 so you might get more value by picking up 5 .info's and putting 10 sub domains on each. TLD (top-level-domains) are general given more value in the search engines so that might help to boost the ranks a bit.

*Note the $1-2/ .info domain is for 1yr registration at godaddy or fxdomains.com (PS: I hate godaddy... Tha's why I pay the $1 more at FX. They are a reseller just much easier to register and saves time). Up to you. Use any register you like as there are obviously thousands to choose from.
