    Hello,

I run a website that I have created from scratch the last 3 months. The content is in English, it has a .com extension and is hosted in North America.

What I noticed is that it ranks quite well for local Google sites (like google.co.uk, google.de, google.co.in) but it doesn?t get any decent rankings at google.com.

I haven?t changed the targeting of my site through Google Webmaster as I think that its content, domain extension and the place where it is hosted should give it also a good place on Google.com not only to the other country specific versions of Google. If I change the targeting should I get better SERPs in google.com, or I risk to lose also the rankings from the other country specific google sites?

    Could you help me please?
    Thank you for your time

This is primarily based on the keyword you are targeting.

For example, if you are targeting keywords of Google.co.uk, you are most likely
to rank high for that keyword on Google.co.uk especially when your hosting is from the
    target country.

That also depends on your users - if you're getting traffic mostly from one country you will be up in SERP for that country.
