I couldnt think of any real place to put this. But figure i have the best chance posting it here.

Im looking for a decaptcher service that takes the captcha's unique URL, rather me uploading the file. It seems like such an uneccesary step to have to download the file, and then reupload when i could just pass the captcha URL directly.

If you dont get what i mean....if you register on any forum (Or really anywhere with a captcha). If you right click the captcha, click view image, you will be presented with the direct URL for that image. And you can open it any amount of times before it has been solved, and it will always show the same image.

So if i could just give this URL to the decaptcher company, they can open it on their end. Would save everyone a hell of alot of hassle.

Anyway, anyone know of any sites?

I don't have a solution for this but it seems like a good idea, so hopefully someone else will come along with an answer.

It'd be more convenient in some cases, but I've seen a lot where the captcha url is http://.../captcha.php. The URL stays the same but the captcha changes each time you load it. But I imagine it wouldn't be hard for someone to just set up a web service as a front-end to decaptcher for doing what you say.

On sophisticated captchas I assume that the url is a one time url determined by the user's session

Its just taking un-unnecessary step out of things.
