If he is right, he is already out of business packing his bag for McDonald interview.

But no, he is just click baiting and looking for attention, using an over used subject, so he can sell you what he thinks will work.... wait for it....

@blogzandstuff, I am not saying it's dead. Just trying to figure out what others are thinking about the article I linked to on the post above.

I think last time I looked I found articles dating back to 2001 declaring "the end is nigh". Half these pubeless wonders preaching this shit were not even born then.

@mickyfu, think of it as the shortest route to prominence. Truth be told, I cannot think of any titles that can draw people in with such impunity like one with "SEO is dead" shit. With posts like these you ( the author) can become a Guru of SEO almost overnight. Fear is the weakness of the timid and pessimists-- and with recent Google updates the number of pessimists has swelled quite a bit.

A pretty funny song in my native lenguage says: "SEO is not dead, SEO is transforming" (it does not say SEO, it says Jana, but you've got the point).
If one day machines will be as smart to bring to the customers exxactly what they need, then that would be the paradise of SEO imo. Outranking amazon pages just because you provide some useful information that readers need and amazon does not provide? heaven... Right now you need at least 20 PBNs and 40 web2.0s to do that... + A lot of content, on-page SEO ,etc...

Also, the way things work now is just too profitable for Google, why would they change it drastically?

    P.S. Damn I just noticed I have 1yr and 3 months on BHW <3

so google care more about their profit other than the user experience as long as the user have no other choice when using search engine, I think I got what you mean.

If SEO still works as well as it had been then we will all be rich by now? As of now the only person that I see getting richer are the SEO service sellers. C'mon if they are as good as they claim to be, they will be ranking their own sites and making tons of money.

Just because you can't rank doesn't me the rest of us can't. Plenty of traffic on google, converts like mad and really isn't that hard to get. Most people here are just doing it wrong...
