Now, I am usually professional when it comes to customer tickets but this one was very vulgar so I felt the need. If you have ever experienced this sort of customer before, how would you of handled it?

BTW, he has many many messages cussing us out, etc. I hired my mom to help with tickets so how do you keep your cool at that point?

That is honestly any business anywhere as to proper etiquette.

Online people go past the norms (heck some have attacked my own family in real life) but if one is raised improperly they act like that.

As opposed to Puff, Puff, Pass, go directly to Pass.

Way better than being penetrated by your boss from nine to five, it's all part of the business, no reason to take it personally.

Wow, that's hardly rude in my book. Just colorful language is all.

I wouldn't get too angry over it. Some people like to swear, some don't. :/ Don't take it too personally.

    Agree!

I am by nature very emotional and before I take everything personally, always trying to explain this and that to the customer in the smallest detail, now I just reply professionally and keep calm all the way. We can`t be all professionals and friendly, offline or online.

We all learn by time with experience, that`s ok, don`t waste your energy with negative people.

Anthole? Be specific please. Either you don't use slang, or you do. You don't become a star by using *.

Working in retail helps you put thing into perspective, I would make it mandatory for every young adult to work at least three months in such an enviornment to understand just how shitty people can be, it gives you some backbone and motivation for when things get hard in your other ventures.

As a rule of thumb if someone says something online that they know would most likely get them a punch in the teeth face to face - they should rightfully be ignored

It's the Internet. Agresions should be expected even though no one really likes to be treated like that.

You can have a "ban" policy, that will allow you to ban clients who do not behave appropriately (and refund their money, to avoid problems with payment processors/public rants).

I've had a handful of customers like this in my SMM days. Usually when I politely asked them to tone it down, their attitude switched up. On my off days, or for repeat offenders, I refund in full and let them know they can go elsewhere.
