I am in huge amount of student loan and credit debt and can no longer tolerate it. I used to sell on eBay a long time ago and wants to get back into the game. At this point, I don't have any whole sale provider and don't know what market I will be going into. Can you guys please give me some advice and tips. Anything would help. Many thanks

Technical items always sell even if you don't have the best prices. Find a wholesale provider or you could try ebay arbitrage.

No offence, but find a job first. At least you'll have income flowing in.

If you were truly desperate enough, you'd rob a bank!

Your situation seems dire OP, but tons of people around the globe have it way worse. You've got an education under your belt, go out there and get a 9-5 before you consider making a living online.

Think about it this way, you could use the excess money (as in the profit) you were making from the initial job to fund your online goals!

Keep your head up; and make sure you're always checking in here.

Sure. Get a part time job and run your own business.

    Good luck!

I would recommend some arbitrage software. But first, you need to get at-least a part-time job, just something to keep you afloat until you establish a full grasp on these things. Good luck man.

This is the most stupid thing you can do. Your 'Dead Broke' and you still want to get yourself in another 1k debt on your creditcard. If you want to come out of debt make money instead of spending that much hoping to make money.
I only spent money once I have itm I wont spent money that I dont have you will get in bigger problems.

And advise? Do what everyone above me said: get a job.

    Solving debt with debt?

Get a "real job" that way you can support yourself with a steady flow of income and then focus the rest of your efforts on rebuilding your Ebay business to pay off your debt.

Thank you all for the advice. I am currently applying to numerous part-time and full-time jobs. Went to three interviews and haven't heard a word back.

When I was a student and broke, I got a part time job while studying, and with spare time, I started my 'online journey' by joining affiliate programmes - Commission junction, click bank and etc. I made some money, and after 6 years, I've run a digital agency, and a couple of tech startups.

The skill I acquired in the early stages was marketing, online marketing in particular. Once you have mastered that to a certain level, making money online is just a matter of effort. Of course results vary amongst different people, but I would say if you put the effort to learn and take action, its just a matter of time that you make money. Making money was a reward if you did it right.

As for my brother, he ventured into web design and coding. He has built ecommerce sites, marketplaces, on demand video platforms and etc for our clients in our agency. Any web 'thing' that he builds now is in the tens of thousands of dollars if not hundreds.

My point is that if you want to go for something, make sure that you are building something intangible that nobody can take away from you, be it knowledge, skill or experience. Also, if that particlar skill or knowledge can be applied to various different industries and opportunities, it helps. A lot. If you stick to this, 5 years down the road, you will be in a much better position than you were before.

If you go down the ebay route, the skills you learn and assets you gain from that journey - i.e. mastering ebay selling tactics, building a powerseller ebay account and etc, are only applicable in ebay. You may gain skills like - how to spot and source products that sell. But say after 3 years you've done this ebay stuff, if you do go out of ebay, your best bet then would be to open up an ecommerce store. Even then, you won't have any marketing skills, so you will need to find someone that does or learn it yourself.

Of course my comments are based on my experiences in life, and there are lots of succseful people who have done ebay businesses and other 'niche' things.

    Just my 2 cents

    Good luck.

your 2 best bets are either drop shipping or finding a job that will fund your eBay venture. Another thing you can do is if you have friends/family, borrow some money from them and tell them what you need it for. But I wouldn't recommend it as money ruins relationships and only use this as a very last resort.
