I have a site that came up as the third result for one of my keywords.

When I go to Y@hoo and type site:www.mysite.com, it says "We did not find results for: site:www.mysite.com"

Have I been de-indexed?
Or is this a temporary thing?

MS tells me that I still hold the third position on Y, but when I go to the search results, my site is not there...

Well, it looks like they do lol.

There's no trace of my site on there right now. When I was ranking 3rd for a keyword.

I was getting some traffic from them. Not a lot, but something is better than nothing.

It's going to take me longer to rank that well on G. I was just happy it was so easy to rank so well on Y.

The exact same thing happened to one of my sites. I'm still hoping it might come back.

Can you tell me something? Can you see your site in yahoo site explorer?

No, it's not in the site explorer either...

What method(s) were you using to get backlinks?

Yahoo is not powered by Bing... So if you are not ranking on Bing, you are out of Yahoo. I was first for many keywords on Yahoo and now nothing.

Did you mean that Y is NOW powered by Bing?
I know MicroSft acquired Y, but they must be changing things with the Y search results.

I'm not indexed by Bing yet, that I know of.

So, if this is true, Y must have changed something within the last couple of days...?
Because I used to rank on Y and I was indexed by them too.

The only thing I see with site explorer are the backlinks for my site...

It might be because Microsft now runs Y, like the OP said.

Is your site indexed by bing?

That's probably our problem then.

If I type a search term into Y, then I go to bing and type the same search term, I get the same exact results in the same exact order.

Maybe Y is now only showing the search results that bing will show...

Well at least we know we weren't de-indexed so to speak lol

Yahoo and bing are BING now,so you have to be indexed at bing in order to show up at yahoo

Bing started to power yahoo serp in July sporadically. They were flip flopping back n forth for a moth or so between engines and now it seems bing has taken over.

This sucks for me since all my 1 yr old exact keyword match domains just reached the first page of yahoo about 2 months ago and I was starting to make some decent money...

I am on the 3rd or 4th pages for bing and I have no idea how to optimize for them beyond what I normally do, hopefully some people who know bing well share some tips soon.

I also noticed it takes bing forever to even rank a new domain on the first page for its ulr. type in a newer domains url and see if it shows on the first page, if not check site:yourdomain and it will probably be there.
