    I found that many site / blog has copied and used my image. Any tips on getting links using this kind of method? going to give it a test!

    You will get links from scraper sites if, while publishing your image, they choose to let the image link to it's source. Otherwise, you won't get any backlinks.

    Perhaps you could note underneath or near the image that you'd ask those using your picture to link back to it's source? Of course not every site will bother but this is how I'd try getting a few backlinks back.

    Apart from that and what SEO Power said, I can't think of any other ways to get backlinks from this.

    You need creative commons license with attribution/non commercial rights. If you are little fish you can't do a lot, try to contact webmasters and post your link in below your content.

    In any case you've to block the download of your contents, only if people share it on socials they can get it. In this way you gain social signals, not strong as feedbacks, but it's great opportunity to make traffic and get little authority on big G!

    You're producing images, so show to people 125x125 image as preview and let download the HD image only after social share (smartest thing you can do with images).
