Day Trading Via The Stock Market

Be careful about SEC rules for day trading.

Your account must have a minimum of $25k in it. If you are working with margin trading you must have 50% in your account above the margin amount.

I prefer minute by minute trading rather than long holds of a week or more.

Just don't trade penny stocks and stay away from biotech and medical companies.

This is all correct and good advise.

I played with an undisclosed amount for a few months. I had huge up and down swings, being up several thousand and down several thousand at various points. I quit when I was like $400 ahead. I advise against it.

bullshitonwallstreet instead :)

Save the money and use it to test out in the market. I do not day trade, I trade weekly, monthly options by selling call and put. Just like today when market dropped over 300+ points, trade on a butterfly trade on put side. Small weekly, monthly income generating and just aim to grow account and not trading for a living.
Been up and down from 1997 till now. Market will always be the same, only difference is the people who trading it :)

Just a tip based on my experience.
I lost a lot of money in penalty when I was dng short sell in day trading. Always square off short sell stocks by end of the day or you will face huge fines.

Day trading is too risky in my opinion. Better learn the hard and long way of trading rather than investing the money on some website.

Thanks guys. I ask because my Uber driver the other night was saying that he is quitting because he is beginning to see a strong income from it

Funny, I just saw that the Nasdaq took a big hit and Facebook went down 3 bucks right before reading this

I've been using etoro for a few months, you just copy other traders. Gone alright so far. Want to learn it all myself at some point but used to get bad anxiety so think I'd fail with the psychology aspect

Trade for your personality type. Research brokers. Research systems. Research markets. Have much to do before you set on a trading style. Just my opinion from my time speculating. Wrote a book on this very topic that I need copyright/get published and release....

I trade options, invest in option etf's. None of them will maintain liquidity when the market drops. I am a huge believer in silver and gold, and although some will point to price drops don't forget the establishment financial funds maintain a crazy ratio of paper to physical supply (300 to 1) to keep prices low.
Definitely go to Seeking Alpha.

Still don't know how to post full size picture....

Anywho, this is my trading platform, showing my strategy.

you cant daytrade unless your have 25K or more?
that doesnt sound right? seriously/.?

okay nevermind, used good ole goog button and saw the new sec rules etc.
yeah you can still trade with less than 25k...
used to daytrade in college 01, and made some nice bank with all the tech bubble IPOS then, then the bust came...lol

Use an offshore broker and you can trade without restrictions even with less than 25K in the Account.
