Day By Day Goal: 0 to 100,000 Facebook likes

DAY 1

Hello all.
I have been in and out of the internet marketing game for a while but have never been successful. I have read countless threads, books, articles, blogs and have spent a ton of money and have failed A TON. It has been over 3 years since i have been back in the game. Since then I have been doing mortgages and have been making good money but I have always dreamed of being self employed, working from home full time and making a great living doing what I love so here I am taking massive action and documenting it for us all to learn together.

Facebook Page:
I have always heard the advice to do what you love and you will find a way to succeed. So I am making my facebook page about a pet that I have and its breed.

Eventually I will direct traffic to a website selling products relating this pet breed.

Niche:
Specific Pet Breed, Animals, Funny Memes

Content:
5 Meme Pictures of the pet.
Everyday I will post new memes, videos, gifs or the pet to help increase traffic and likelihood of shares from people.

Traffic:
Monetized ad to start targeting 5 states, male and female, Interest: Dog Breed
Page likers sharing to their wall
Posting in related groups.

Money Spent:
$200

Post Reached: 8 People
Engaged: 2 People
Likes: 1 (Me)

DAY 2 Morning

Huge progress already!! My $200 ad on facebook is already paying off.
We have a total 27 organic likes. I have yet to promote to my 1700 friends. 26 of these likes are from people I do not know.





I am personally messaging all of those that shared and liked the post to thank them for their love of the pet breed.
I will also encourage them to share the page

I dont understand why are targeting 65+ people.
For better targetting I just Jon Lommer advuce to you.
First scrape thr email address of website owbers in your niche than target thrm for very cheap and targetted likes.

You should think about also launching an Instagram account.

I read it as targeting ages 18- 65+ years old.. so basically everyone except those underage. I would think with this niche the target base would be that broad

how do you get 27 likes? 6 page likes, 140 post likes?
if you get 27 likes a day, 100k likes will take 3k days? i suppose there will be some exponential growth, so how long is it going to take to reach the target? if it takes 300 days, $10 a day, the cost is $3k. and how are you certain you are going to get that money back? it's easy for people to like a page/post of cute pets.

I am targeting 18 to 65 plus. This niche is good for that broad of an age range...
I am confused by what you mean with scraping email addresses. Do you mean building email list and setting up email blast to them promoting Facebook page?

Yes you have a very good point Txholdem. thank you for the candid feedback. Right now we are at 85 likes just under 24 hours with $14.43 spent. The campaign is good for 14 total days at $200 all in



Yes the goal is massive exponential growth. I don't have specific timeline on when it will happen because it is so hard to say. It will depend on viral videos/photos. I am ok with losing out on 3k. Yes you are correct I might lose 3k and not recoup my investment ever. My wife and I make over 300K combined per year at our carreers so it wouldn't hurt us.

I don't have plans to monetize the site for some time but we are planning on selling niche pet breed items and branch out to a website which will lead to email lists, more contests, social interaction, shopping, etc.

Facebook and social media avenues are the lynch pins to gain the following and build the brand at first and then there will be a transition into Facebook shop and custom website with SEO and PPC on articles and email lists to bring on customers from multiple venues. No this isnt a multi million dollar business (I have other businesses for that) This is more of a passive income and fun business for my wife and I because we love the pet breed and we spend a crap ton of money on the pet and we know others feel the same and more than likely do that same.

Day 3

We are knocking it out of the ball park thus far. I ran into a hurdle today but before I share I want to show you the stats below.

So 431 page likes in the past 72 hours spending a total of $31.91 is not too bad. The nearly 2K Post likes is great but how do I get the Page likes higher?

I have been individually inviting everyone that liked the post which is why we have more than 69 likes. That plan of action is working but facebook limits the amount of people you can invite per day. I messaged facebook to find out the limit and why they are limiting it if the people I am inviting have liked my post.

I have continued to post 2 to 5 per day. I have noticed that the busiest times are around 630 am to 10am and nights from 5pm until 8pm

Thats actually good progress, thats a good amount of likes for a little money. I will say that it might take some time, getting actual page likes seems to take a while. Stick with it because those pet types of pages always get alot of attention.

Day 4

@nonaal Rome wasn't built in one day but we are getting there slowly but surely. I have found that inviting people as soon as they like the page has increased page likes a ton but facebook limits the amount of invites per day so the solution is that I am looking to purchase facebook accounts so I can make them admins and go on the separate accounts and invite all of the people that liked the post to like the page.

We are at 723 total likes on $46.47 spent. The memes are working well. We are sending a copy that will engage a response and share. I have multiple ideas on what I will do to monetize the site but don't want to take action until we have a lot more likes and engagement on each post.

Day 5

We are almost at the 1000 like mark. We are averaging about 200 high quality real people likes per day and have spent about $55

Just to clarify, did you create a Facebook ad, or are you boositng individual posts?
