    Hi,

I was browsing through some dating sites when I came across this site, the descriptions says:
"Find Your Toyboy Today | 100% Dating for Older Women ...Is your perfect partner online right now? Start searching and find out! Show me: ... The Essential Dating Site For Successful Ladies and Young Men - Toyboy. ..."

    The url is:
    Code:
    www.toyboy.com
When you click on it the site takes you to:
    Code:
    https://www.mi5.gov.uk/
    Wassup with that? LOL

Strange now I see the original site and no mi5... I feel watched, perhaps the mi5 and other intelligence agencies are following everyones moves in google and there was a glitch in their system which led me to being directed to their site instead?

Couple of points - first, MI5 is the Security Service, not Secret Service. Second - the owner of the primary website is the person who controls any forwarding, right? And they can forward to any site, right? So - why is it MI5's fault..?

So I was getting redirected to mi5 a few times, then it's back to normal?

I'm not blaming mi5 just saying....
I know they and many other intelligence agencies are watching but didn't expect them to make a mistake, and this looks like one.
I'm not 100% but I'm very positive LOL

Hmmmm Is big brother watching us?

I was looking at a keyphrase someone used to find one of my sites the phrase was "show me dating site now" nothing to do with toyboy.

I used to be a toyboy in the past but I did it for free :D

But that was a while ago now I'm married and such, no more stifflers mom LOL

Once again - the owner of the domain has control over where it redirects to. If it redirected to microsoft.com, would you instead blame Bill Gates? And DNS or page caching will easily explain inconsistent results. You can take off the tinfoil hat now.

How do you know he was redirecting me to mi5?

What if it had another cause, like mi5 sitting in the background of every website but a glitch in their system revealed their site to me...

    I'm being watched LOL

Quite possible that you have some malware on your machine that is causing the redirect.

Either by setting the DNS for that domain to point at MI5, or by using a meta refresh or 403 redirect, the OWNER OF THE SITE / DOMAIN can send a visitor to any other site OF THEIR CHOOSING. Without any control of the destination site. Hell, I wish they had sent you to http://www.aliens.mars instead.

I know what a redirect is and I know how to point a domain I got hundred+ domains right now.

All I'm saying is what if there's something more to this, why the mi5?

It can't be my cache messing up as I never ever visit mi5.

Is my wife a secret mi5 agent living in Sweden?
Is my 8 month old baby son a mi5 agent with a super brain?

So many question yet so little time :)

But just think, what if big brother is watching us? What if? :mmph:

Nevermind I guess I'm too paranoid and suspicious of everything these days.

Might be the Tsunami in Japan and reading CNN's website affecting my mind lately.

Time to: Don't Worry Be Happy an' keep on keepin' on with workin on :)

So you will know then that DNS or page caching can easily occur on other parts of infrastructure, without your ever having visited either site?
OK, you got me, and here is YOUR proof that *I* am an MI5 agent:

LOL, you really thinks this? Methinks you are a bit naive if you don't believe a government agency cannot control something as simple as a DNS & redirect.

You will be one of the last ones to realize it when TSHTF.

    I didn't say they CAN'T. I'm simply applying Occam's Razor.

Finally someone that understands my point :)

I've been online even before the internet connecting to BBS etc. And this is the first time I'm faced with something strange like this.
    Something I can't explain.

I'm guessing the mi5 and other intelligence agencies have a advanced system in place, probably working side by side with google to track everyones actions online as to catch "the bad people". So a glitch in their advanced system might result in their website coming up.

I'm guessing it's a system we are not aware of YET, something that works in the background without anyone knowing it. Like a keylogger of somekind but with artificial intelligence of some kind. Too much pressure on their servers or some other glitch might result in this.

    Am I paranoid?
    YES

    Can it be true?
    YES

    Who is Occam? :)

    From wikipediea:
" is a principle that generally recommends selecting the competing hypothesis that makes the fewest new assumptions, when the hypotheses are equal in other respects.[2] For instance, they must both sufficiently explain available data in the first place" :D
