whats up. I would like to make some tests with my main title tag to find the best version. Both for CTR + Ranking. However, I am wondering how google likes it when I change my title tag lets say 5 times in 2 months. Could that be problematic / loosing trust?

PS: Forum layout looks weird today

It will have an impact on the serps, but that can be a good thing, tweaking your titles to try and lift the serp is part of on page seo. You won't be sent to Google jail for it.

I done it for a lot of my older pages (as well as modify articles) in order to keep them current and in line with current keyword searches. It helped

This. It could be good, it could be bad. It won't get you penalised though.

Forum layout looks just the same to me? Try clearing your cache.

Don't change it too often. You'll definetly see movement in SERPs, 5 times in 2 months is a bit too often if you ask me, I'd give it at least 2 weeks for each change to see how it ranks.

My experience: A drop in my rankings after changing title. However, I changed the title to another that didn't include the exact keyword I was targeting so that may have caused the drop.

Personally, I'm always careful to select my titles properly right away, before the content is indexed.

That way, if I ever decided to change the keyword on the page or whatever, I'd only have to do it once, as I don't like changing what's indexed, and doing it too many times may be a flag to Google. They might see it as spammy behavior or something.

Perhaps that's simply my own paranoia, though. :)
