    ---- THREAD CLOSED 11/20/2014 ----
Hey guys, I just wanted to share a story with you all. I started out doing IM related stuff around 2 years ago. I was a very naive young kid who wanted to make some cash.

With zero income, I had to resort to .tk domains and free webhosting. Eventually I got up to a good amount and was able to afford webhosting and a .com domain.

I used CPA for a while, earning very little. I used $harecash and earned about $2-3 a day for 4 or 5 months until my account got banned for uploading adult related content (passwords). This is when I started doing micro niche and autoblog sites. On the side I would create and get feedback for ebay accounts.. selling them for $50 a pop.

Making around $1000 my freshman year in highschool, I was hooked to IM. I always had money and my friends were broke. I managed to balance grades with my job and did IM on the side. Throughout my short IM career I became less and less interested in whitehat techniques and was very attracted to doing things full auto. I had a plan and was going to make it work no matter what.

I outsourced and used strictly blackhat techniques for around 6 months, earning a couple grand. I blew most all of it on investing further into IM, yet never breaking my rule of not spending what you hadn't earned. In the end all of this paid off. I was now a sophmore in highschool with a 3k/year income on autopilot (not including the money I made at my job).

A few months ago I was approached by a guy promising that all my wants and dreams would be fulfilled. I pushed it off as bull**** for a while, but he was persistent. The strange part about the situation was that he was not wanting my money or my affiliate sign up. After days and days of receiving this guys calls and emails I accepted. He signed me up to a private network. Lets just say this was a very shady network. We did things that aren't completely legal. No, we werent taking money from the little guy or stealing or anything of that nature but it was EXTREMELY blackhat....

I made BANK that three months until I decided to quit for moral reasons. I have nothing left I want to purchase and my bank account is full. There is nothing left for me to strive for, yet I haven't reached the goals I formally wanted to achieve. So I warn you fellow blackhatters; Next time you think about making lots of money easily, think twice. For if that method you use goes away you will spend countless hours toiling over how you can get that method back. You will refuse to accept anything that will make you a penny less, and will therefore never make a single penny more!

interesting little story man, may i ask what you were doing that was EXTREMELY blackhat? if my question is too personal, i understand. since you are still young you should have many things that you should still strive for, some of these (for me at least) include time freedom, not needing a job, and residual income. i suggest you build a real business where no stupid cpa network or adsense can ban you, make your own prices and call your own shots because you are still an employee if you dont, even if you are making 1k a day.

Curious as to what you were doing that was so blackhat. Then again, I understand if you don't feel comfortable posting it on an open forum.

I can understand not settling for less, I had a job that payed me $20/hour my senior year, when I went off to college I didn't want to to settle for a job at mcdonalds or any hard labor that pays $7/hour lol so I still dont have a job, But I did find a way to make money and thats all I have been doing this past year =) Its alot of fun! But I did settle for working with my uncle and his business for $5/hour when times were really tuff lol but i dont work with him anymore!

To those who were asking for the method I used, I wouldn't feel comfortable/ safe spreading around what it was exactly or I would be having some people on my ass. Thanks for the responses guys. Hopefully this is just a phase until I get tired of not earning any money and get back in the game... Then again I'm a very hardheaded individual :p.

Money is a means to an end not the actual end. Have you figured out what you want to do with your life? If not the dull ache never goes away. The last thing you want to do in your life is to take your final breathe while asking yourself, "What the hell was that all about?"

Well said. It would suck to get hit by a bus tomorrow, and in your last moments before die you realize, "Shit, I wish I hadn't spent all that time staring into a computer screen."

Define somebody? In your own eyes or in someone else's, two very different goals by the way! The more comfortable I became in my own skin the less I cared about what other's thought of me particularly strangers. Of course, that either makes me very grounded or a sociopath; it could go either way!

This just seems like a brag topic. Cool, you made money. I don't think anyone is silly enough to cry over an inconsistent income with IM. That is to be expected, really.

Money isn't everything but it's way ahead of whatever is in second place.

You're wrong. Next time you lose a family member to death re-evaluate your statement, because all the money in the world won't bring them back. There are many things that are much more important than money. You'll leave all of it here - that alone should indicate that there are bigger things to live for while we are here.

Look at the OP - he made some good money, but his knowledge that his stuff was illegal essentially robbed him of the true enjoyment of making a buck.

All of us should live by the golden rule - treat others how you want to be treated. I don't care if you're Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, Marxist, Atheist, Agnostic, etc. - if we all lived by that rule the world would be a much different (and better) place.

Have you tried investing some of that money in things that will build residual income?. I'd do that instead of just sitting on it, IM methods or not.
