Damn eBay search! Sort by "Best Match" - Any Advice?

Since ebay switch their default search result to "Best Match" views have either plumited down.

Or...

Shot up!

It ranks but how "Relevant" and how good of a match the results are. So even if you use featured listings. You can still be on page 10 when you have 24 hours to go. When on the front page there is BIN that has 27 days to go.

Out of my 10 day auction ive got about 50 views...

Auctions that are considered a "best match" are getting views 1000+

Reading on the internet it says they take lots of things into account like...views, how many the user has sold of that item, what other people are buying etc etc

So for one time sellers trying to sell some unwanted stuff. They have no chance against the powersellers who are constantly selling it!

Is anyone else experiencing this and having trouble?

Any tips or advice to make your listings more of a "best match"?

I am not sure of answer to this but it is frustrating to see people who have something expire in 21 days be ahead of me in ebay. They are a powerseller. Is that given clout? I read that having free shipping helps and the word new in title but think there must be more going on. Why didn't they keep the old order of listings as criterion like in past? This is confusing and not fair. You can't even pay for featured plus cause you can still be on page 9 (though at top).

I've noticed a drop in my views as well. Best match is a killer. They give powersellers top billing. If you buy any addons it really doesn't make too much of a difference. I know they have said they are going through changes with Ebay, hopefully they will straighten it out.
