I just got a Email from Hawkhost as below:

Sorry but you cannot host this hxxp://poptechnews[dot]com/ web site on our servers. It continues to bog down our MySQL system every time it reloads its cache. It takes 8 seconds for it to generate the main page alone which when it uses all the cpu on the mysql server it's unacceptable. So we'll give it 48 hours then we'll disable that web site.

You have a single autoblog making $180 a month and you are trying to run it on a junk server??????? :(

I advise you to use that money to upgrade to a dedicated server then you can make 100 autoblogs that make $18,000 a month. :)

Get off the "cheapest" mindset, and get one that has the best settings and specs for your blog. While VPS is a step up from a shared server, dedicated is still the way to go.

Even with VPS you will have the CPU issues you are having now.

If you are on a dedicated server, then all the CPU you have available is for YOU. Only you can crash the server.

I'm guessing that you've done all the basic things like using "DB Cache Reloaded" to reduce queries sent to MySQL?

I had a similar problem with my shared hosting account. Even switching to a VPS account I was suspended for CPU usage. It was hard at first to get in the mindset of having to pay 9x more a month for hosting but a dedicated server solved the problem. It's not hard to set up either. Another big concern. I decided to go with the godaddy Economy Plan. I pay $79 monthly and use the godaddy simple control panel which is included in the price. Never had any problems. Also, there is no set up fee and you can select a monthly contract.

    Good luck with the search.

    You need to install this
    - db cache

the best VPS deals that I have found (currently) are with 'burstnet'.

the prices are lower than other companies as they own the
machines, so you are not paying someone, who is in turn
    paying someone else.

you can get a managed (basic)- 2ghz, 1.5 gig of ram. 100 gig space (Raid), 2TerraBytes, and Cpanel Whm for $35 !!!
more than most people will ever need, and about the same as a hostgator reseller which has only 250 gig of bandwidth...

    at least worth a look?

another option is to go with a company that has 'business' hosting like webhostingbuzz, they (claim) to only have 75 people/accounts
to each dual-quad-core. 1tbyte and 100 g of space, cpanel, etc $35...last I knew if you use the coupon pluto you get a permanent $5 off
each month (on one of the biz plans)
