How do I overcome the feeling of worthlessness when working on projects? The self hate then makes me lazy and i do nothing all day. My days are wasted like this, I have literally 6 months to do anything i want but here i am being a lazy fucker.

Any advice like book suggestions or inspiration?

Btw i have a plan and i know it will work out it's just this thing that is stopping me. I need to stop.

    Thanks.

Do a to do list for a new day at the end of current day.
Checking out the things from the list will make your body to release dopamin, it is the reward chemical in your brain. Dopamin is responsible for making you eat and do everything for your body to survive.
Oh, and tasks should be rational and possible to achieve in given time frame.

    Good example:
    1. Read 3 chapters from a Harry Potter book.
    2. Jerk off
    3. Follow 600 people on Instagram
    4. Unfollow 600 people on Instagram
    Bad example:
    1. Conquer China
    2. Read something
    3. Make my Instagram popping

Make To-do list, Its the best.
I prefer a small personal notebook or diary for it than a To-do list app on a smartphone.
Just do it, Works like a charm in my experience.

You basically just answered to your own question. Your self-limiting belief tells you that whatever you do is worthless because of possible roadblocks encountered on the way and hence you have no motivation to do that shit.

If somebody would pay you $$ to do the stuff you're trying to do, don't you think you'd actually do it?

So your focus should be on doing something just for the sake of collecting intel and gaining experience, and not actually something that will 100% earn money straight from the first try.

Different mindset, different target, different motivation.

You should make small goals and have deadlines for those goals. Everyday think about the main reason why do you want to do this? This helps me when I am feeling lazy. Best of Luck. :)

"Would you be lazy if someone paid you to do the job?"
I don't know where you get your facts from but most of the laziest motherfuckers I met got paid a lot more than they deserve. I get the feeling he is working on his own terms and just needs to deal with procrastination. He already has the goals. A clear, simple plan can do wonders.

I've seen this (not literally this) in real life. She was all over the guy. She wasn't faking it (yes, I can tell). I was shocked and - dare I say - enlightened.

Yes. Fuck inspiration, it's like coffee, eventually it wears off fast and you just go get more and more coffee.

Here's what you're going to do:

Total separation of work and entertainment.

    a) If you have multiple computers, pick one to use as a work computer. Only work tools installed. Then install a tool like ColdTurkey and block all internet access to non-work related sites. If you have a single pc, use ColdTurkey to block games as well. No email client other than for work accounts (if any).

    b) Designate an area of work. This could be an office or even a specific chair at home. You are only allowed to work there. You are not allowed to work anywhere else. No phone is allowed near your workspace and phone must be on airplane mode without wifi on while you sit on your workspace.

    Why this works:

Because people are irrational but have patterns of behavior that we can exploit positively.

    a) One such pattern is inertia.

Example: If you have a rule that you will not bring any candy home, that is much more effective than "there's candy in the house but I won't eat them". That simple extra barrier, while not much in and of itself (you can always go out and eat candy), acts as a huge mental barrier. Most of the time, you won't get out of the house to get a candy to eat. That's a 95% improvement with "just a simple trick".

    b) The first time you might be going crazy but that's exactly what we want. Your mind can not stay put - it needs to be doing something all the time. It won't be able to find anything else to do and it will suddenly be anxious to start working on the thing you didn't want to touch before.

In other words: It's not literally hard to cheat the restrictions I mentioned above. For a strange reason, you will find that most of the time, you won't.
