Has anytone tried dailymotion instead of youtube?
It seems that even if you have many views and get to the first page most viewed the traffic is junk.

dailymotion is worse than you tube, i can't even upload commercial video there xd

Worst in what way? Banning videos?

I've had plenty of success with them in terms of getting videos up and to stay up that would be taken down very quickly on youtube directly.

The traffic though I don't think is as good as youtube's. I haven't done any direct tracking with stats programs but its noticable due mainly to the success rate of some of my campaigns which were focused on dailymotion.

not that great of conversion rates on DM

I wonder if there's a way to mass PM all those publishers trying to make a measily $1 off hundreds of views..

I got like 4 million views on my sexy videos there and it didn't convert to anything, then again youtube's kinda the same...

Why do you suppose DM traffic would be any worse or better than YT if you're in the same niche?

I think it's worse for porn and sexy stuff because there's much more of that stuff on DM, they rarely delete anything. So people don't really have a reason to go to some external site... Perhaps.

So, we're not saying the traffic converts worse, just that it's harder to redirect them from DM to your LP. Is that what I'm hearing?

Yeah, and another thing. Most of the people who go to DM probably know a little more about the internet not to visit some site they just saw rudely plastered over some video. I'd probably never even hear about DM if I wasn't looking for video sharing sites. I mean, how many DM videos have you randomly stumbled upon? I remember some Break and Liveleak, the rest was all the big Y (and I don't mean Yahoo, cuz they've got video sharing too, you know: ). Besides, YT's search algs are getting more and more sophisticated (they sometimes border on bleedin telepathy!) so the views are now pretty targeted. Maybe we should start some niche video sharing sites like Koi Fish Electronic Pregnancy Test Tube, we'd be rolling in dough.
