Hi , this sort of demonstrates a lot of seo's problems. Building links takes a time investment, if you don't have the time to fully complete the seo process of onpage and then do the offpage work the page won't rank.

Whether use profiles, pbn, spam links, guest posts, whatever you call the links, you can still rank with all of these methods. You can still rank with spam links if you do it right in 2020. You can even rank with duplicated content, just get the onpage right, judge the competition.

When you read reports that certain links don't work, it's normally by a person who has read it from another site who actually hasn't tested it.
