I have an existing site, template etc , running on a non-Wordpress platform.

I want to make a sub-site using wordpress, so I guess I need to completely strip out a WP install, then add my existing style sheet to it.

Anyone have any experience of this, or any tips?

Use most commons styles from to your WP Theme, like grids, color etc. It's time consuming but theres on easy way to do that.
