I may just be overlooking it, but I can't find anywhere in the Edit Avatar section of the CP to set a custom avatar.. What am I missing?

I have 50 post and been a member for more than 30 days(just noticed I been here for more than 30) and my custom avatar doesnt appear to be working. Whats my problem?

go to user cp, then click edit avatars, then scroll to the bottom, if you are allowed to change your avatar you will see an upload box at the bottom. Hope that helps
